And Maryam (Mary), the daughter of 'Imran who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (the sleeve of her shirt or her garment) through Our Ruh [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel)], and she testified to the truth of the Words of her Lord [i.e. believed in the Words of Allah: "Be!" and he was; that is 'Iesa (Jesus) - son of Maryam (Mary); as a Messenger of Allah], and (also believed in) His Scriptures, and she was of the Qanitin (i.e. obedient to Allah).

Belitung island can be reached by plane from Soekarno-Hatta airport Jakarta for about 45 minutes. The regency can also be reached by sea transport. There are some types of route and ship that can be used: big ferries of PT.PELNI (state-owned) and also small ones or jetfoils (fast-ship) (privates). There are two ships of PT.PELNI, KM. Lawit and KM. Leuser, which cross Jakarta-Belitung-Pontianak with the elapsed time of 16 hours for Jakarta - Belitung or Belitung - Pontianak. Ferries and jetfoils are available for route from Belitung to Bangka or reverse. The ferries take 12 hours of journey, while jetfoils take 4 hours of it. Another available route is Belitung - Palembang which takes 10 hours of journey using jetfoils.
