Climate, Flora and Fauna

Tropically climate and has two season, dry and rainy season. Rainy season is from October-April. Dry season from May-September. The average temperature between 25,6`C-28`C.

Generally. the species of flora and fauna in Belitung are the same as the other places, that is, possess tropical forest. The characteristic sight of plant which is very wellknown, red palm in local dialex of Malay called "pohon Genayun". The red palm are group of such decorative plants. Are also Petaling trees are regarded having magic natural power and can function as protection from wild animal. Sikuncung and Nasi-nasi trees are very ideal to form as bonsai palnts.

The animal can be found in this region such as: deer, mouse deer, monkey, sguirrels, etc. Rare and protected fish also found here, this such beatiful fish in local dialect called "Kelesak".
